Kentucky Spring Recap

As is tradition, Millar Brooke South kicked off our 2024 Spring season at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show series. Over the course of two weeks our students turned in some amazing results and stellar rounds.

Renee Morgenstern and Field Day “Luis” had a great show claiming the Championship in the Long Stirrup division two weeks in a row.

Our working student, Dakota Zehler laid down outstanding performances during the Kentucky Spring Classic. Dakota took a clean sweep in the Medium Green Pony Hunter divisions claiming Champion aboard Millar Brooke South’s, Lost Boy “Peter” and Reserve Champion with Holy Smokes “Tully.” Dakota and the ponies are now officially qualified for the 2024 USEF Pony Finals later this summer.

Holly Schmitt and Snooptastic put in some good rounds in the High Adults division.

Christine Carlsen put in some solid rounds on her mares Monchiniquie and MHS Czarina in the Medium A/O over the two weeks of competiton. The highlight of the show for Christine was to step up to the High A/O division with her new mare Qilaja Van De Helle.

Kelly Soleau-Millar’s homebred, Bit O’ Luck “Clover” competed in the 5-Year-Old Young Jumper division during week two in the Kentucky Spring Classic.  He started off the week with a top five finish, and ended on a high note taking the victory in the 5-Year-Old Class on Saturday.

M. Michael Meller’s Fire Fly placed 2nd in the 1.35m jumpers on Wednesday at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, while QBS Equestrian’s Doonaveeragh Balou placed 5th.

Isotropic Cilius R “Cilius” in the 1.20m jumper taking home only podium finishes with a 2nd-place on Wednesday and a 3rd on Thursday.

We were also thrilled to welcome Claire Sieuzac who made her horse show debut with us along with her two horses, Galata Villers and Diderot du Seigneur.

As always thank you to our wonderful team behind the scene, our sponsors, clients and supporters! It would not be possible without you. We are looking forward to an exciting summer!
